Friday the 13th...
This whole day is a bit of a mystery to me. The only thing I remember is that I got to hold Claire for the first time, while Christy sat and watched.
Revenge is a dish served best at about 98.6 with lots of wires attached.
The health of the twins gets better every day. The amount of CPAP being applied (the speed of the car as your head is out the window) was being reduced.
The doctors did have to administer a second dose of Surfactin, which apparently is a naturally occurring substance found in your lungs that James and
Claire had not yet started producing efficiently.
As of 3:15, the babies were 48 hours old. In Texas, this means the birth mother is now eligible to sign the paperwork...which turns
the babies over to the adoptive parents (us). However, our birth mother was in tremendous pain and everyone involved thought it
would be best to wait until Saturday.
I got a call from Logan, who was the acting case worker for the birth mother (Cathy had left for vacation on Tuesday). She indicated
that everything was fine and she would be meeting with the birth mother on Saturday at 12:30.
